CIMSA UPH & EAT International Meeting “Smart Folks Don’t Smoke”

On 10th April, Education Against Tobacco (EAT) joined Center for Indonesian Medical Students’ Activities – Universitas Pelita Harapan (CIMSA UPH) in the International Meeting “Smart Folks Don’t Smoke”.

This meeting was moderated by Rachel Mustika, member of Public Health Committee of CIMSA UPH, attended by 50 students of Islam Al Azhar Middle School in Indonesia and the main speaker was Paulo Gomes, International Coordinator of EAT.

Paulo discussed topics such as the dangers behind novel products with nicotine (heated tobacco devices and electronic cigarettes), the manipulation strategies used by tobacco companies to target young people and the environmental consequences of tobacco consumption.
Finally, he answered some questions from the audience and shared some tips for people who want to quit smoking.

We thank again CIMSA UPH for the invitation!

For a life free of tobacco! 🚭
