About our mission

Tobacco is the largest cause of preventable death in the Western world. Education Against Tobacco (EAT) is a multinational network driven by medical students of 31 medical schools located in the US, Germany, Switzerland and Austria. Founded in 2012, our mission is to support informed-decision-making of adolescents by the help of school-based prevention, to educate the public by app-based campaigns and to improve smoking cessation counseling by influencing medical education. Our scientific advisory board validates the quality of our interventions and facilitates the local implementation of the EAT program.
