New concept for preventing smoking in schools: Mirroring

Prof. Werner Seeger, Fabian Buslaff and Titus J. Brinker, from the University of Giessen, successfully published a research paper on mirroring intervention in the Journal of Medical Internet Research.

Mirroring involves connecting a student’s smartphone to a projector and projecting the content of the smartphone, in this case a 3D facial image. The student then edits their 3D face through touching it on their phone making suggested changes recommended by their classmates and teachers, the next student is then chosen at random to perform the same task with their 3D facial image. What sounds like an innovative new idea has already been successfully piloted.
